Overview
BOPP (biaxially oriented polypropylene) tapes are a type of pressure-sensitive tape made from a thin film of polypropylene. They are known for their high tensile strength, good clarity and excellent ageing properties, providing a strong, secure hold that resists moisture, temperature changes and UV light.
Where it is used
- Packaging and sealing: sealing boxes and packages, particularly in shipping and logistics, with a hold that survives long transit and long storage.
- Labelling and tagging: securing labels and tags to cardboard, plastic and metal in retail and manufacturing.
- Repair and maintenance: holding together paper, cardboard and plastic, repairing damaged items or bracing materials during work.

What we would advise
Courier parcels keep opening in transit and my returns team blames the tape.
Nine out of ten times the parcel is being sealed with one short strip on a dusty carton. Go to 45 micron in 48mm and seal in an H-pattern — centre seam plus both edge seams. Dust is the real enemy: a carton stored open in a Delhi godown for a week will not bond on any tape. Wipe the flap or store cartons closed. 45 micron also survives the drop and the conveyor bounce at the courier hub better than 40.

01What micron should I choose?
40-45 micron for single and 3-ply cartons, 50-55 micron for 5-ply, heavy or long-transit loads.
02Do you sell in small quantities?
Trials start at one box. Rates improve sharply from 200 rolls upward.
03Will the tape lift off in summer heat?
The film is UV stabilised and the acrylic adhesive is aged-tested, so it holds through Indian summer storage.
04Can I get my own length instead of 65m?
Yes, anything from 40m to 1000m is made to order.
